Below is what you need to know to be an expert witness:

• Experts need to keep up to date in their field
• Keep professional indemnity insurance [provided by UCL Consultants]

• Make sure there is an agreement in place - first

UCL Consultants has two forms of agreement for Expert Witness Work.

• For non-litigation services - where expert opinion is provided for by a written report but no court appearance is required; and
• For litigation work where the Expert Witness will be required to defend his/her Report in Court

UCL Consultants provides professional indemnity insurance for all expert witness and consultancy work contracted through UCL Consultants.
